Projects
A .mphase project keeps your layers, media, masks, animation, and project settings together.
Create a project
Choose File → New project or New project on the Welcome screen, then set the blank canvas. Use File → New from media to start from an image or video instead. Add more media through Assets and effects through the picker.
Shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl + N
Open a project
Choose File → Open Project and select a .mphase file, or choose a Recent project on the Welcome screen. If a source is missing, use File → Missing media… to locate its replacement before judging the result.
Shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl + O
Save
Save updates the current file. A new project opens Save As so you can choose its name and location.
Shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl + S
Keep a copy
Choose File → Save As, give the copy a different name or location, and save. Opening a bundled example leaves the original unchanged; File → Save creates your own editable copy.
Close safely
madphase asks about unsaved changes before closing or replacing a project.
