3D SVG
Turn an SVG into an extruded 3D object, then shape its depth, bevel, material and lighting.
Add a 3D SVG layer
With a project open, choose Primitive → Shape → 3D SVG from the effects picker, or Layer → 3D → 3D SVG from the app menu. Select the new layer in Layers to open its Effect Panel.
Choose your SVG
In the SVG section, click Choose SVG... to import a local .svg file, or Assets to select one from the asset library. After a file is loaded, Replace SVG lets you change the source. The preview and filename identify the active vector. Use vector artwork with filled paths, strokes or text outlines; an embedded bitmap does not become an extruded mesh.
Give the vector depth
Under Mesh, increase Depth to extrude the vector face. Expand the advanced Mesh controls to add Bevel around its edges. When Bevel is above zero, Roundness controls the number of bevel segments. Rotate the object slightly to inspect its side faces and edge profile.

Position the object
Select the 3D layer in Layers to open its Effect Panel. In Transform, adjust position, rotation, scale and anchor. Use the on-canvas gizmo for placement, then use numeric controls for precise alignment.
Frame the camera
Expand Camera. Choose a View preset or adjust Orbit, Tilt, Roll, Distance and Field of View. Distance changes how far the camera sits from the object; Field of View changes the lens. Reset View restores the initial framing. Expand Target to move the point the camera looks at.
Set materials and lighting
Choose a material preset for the object, then expand Material to adjust colour, roughness and metalness. Advanced material controls include surface detail and transmission. Expand Lighting to choose a light preset or adjust the key light and ambient light. Environment intensity and rotation change the reflected surroundings.
Add surface relief
Image Field reads the incoming image or an embedded effect stack. In Field Relief, choose Normal to change surface shading, Displacement to move vertices, or UV Warp to distort material texture coordinates. Strength starts at zero; raise it to enable the effect. Normal relief needs lighting to be visible.
Choose the background and output
Use Background to choose how the scene sits over the composition. In Render, Beauty gives the finished material-and-lighting result; Depth and Normals provide passes for later effects or masks. Adjust anti-aliasing when edges need smoothing. The 3D scene remains an ordinary layer with opacity, blend mode and a mask.
Animate the result
In Video or Live mode, use the function button beside a numeric control to add keyframes or a driver. Animate object transforms, camera framing, lighting, materials or relief. Play the timeline to inspect the result, then export through the normal File export commands.
