Motion and Modulators
Add reusable motion from a parameter’s function menu. Select its timeline region to edit it.
Add motion
In Video or Live, right-click the function button beside a parameter and choose an animation preset. Select the new region on that parameter’s timeline track to open its inspector, then edit the motion and resize the region for the required span.
Add an LFO
In Video or Live mode, right-click a parameter’s fx button, then choose Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, or Square / Pulse under Modulators. Select the new timeline region to open the inspector. An LFO repeats a wave over the region.
Set the wave
Select the LFO region on the timeline. Choose Cycles for repetitions across the region or Hz for repetitions per second. Set Start Value for the centre, Height for the swing and Phase for the starting point. Press Play to inspect it; negative Height flips the wave.
Handle limits
Clamp stops at the range boundary. Wrap cycles to the other end. Mirror bounces back from the boundary.
Use Base Motion
Where offered, Base Motion uses the driver to change the speed of linked motion instead of directly changing the value.
Make a loop
Use whole cycle counts and matching endpoints, then inspect the seam with Loop playback.
