Portal Layers
Portal Input captures the composition at one point in the stack. Portal Output composites that saved result later in the stack.
Add a portal split
Click Add portal split in the Layers header. It creates a connected IN and OUT pair in the same colour. The default stack display processes layers from bottom to top, so OUT appears above IN.
Keep the pair forward-only
IN must be processed before OUT. To change only the display direction, open Settings → Effects → Layer stack order. In top-to-bottom display, IN appears above OUT. The funnels reverse with the display direction: IN narrows along processing and OUT widens along it. Moving the rows changes processing order; changing this setting does not. Either half may be inside a group, but neither can go in a mask folder.
Blend the output
Portal Output owns the blend mode, opacity, mask, and visibility controls. Portal Input only captures the result.
Copy or delete the pair
Copy and duplicate keep both halves connected. Deleting either half removes both halves.
