Text Overview

Choose flat or 3D typography for editable captions, labels and type treatments in madphase.

Choose a tool

Choose Text for flat editable type or 3D Text for extrusion, materials and lighting. Both keep the wording editable; a 3D layer also has its own camera.

Use it in the app

Open a project and find Primitive → Text in the effects picker. Choose the specific tool, then select its layer in Layers to open the Effect Panel. Related modes may share a mode dropdown at the top of that panel. The pages below explain source requirements, first adjustments and conditional controls for each tool.
