Keyframes
A keyframe saves a value at a specific time. Add two or more and madphase interpolates between them.
Create a track
Choose Video in the title bar. Select a layer, set an animatable numeric control to its starting value and place the playhead at the desired start time. Click its function button to create the first keyframe and reveal the track.
Build motion
Move the playhead later, right-click the control’s function button and choose Add keyframe at playhead. Select the new diamond and set its Value in the inspector. Press Play to see the transition between the two values. Animated controls in the Effect Panel display the evaluated playhead value.
Animate layer controls
Keyframe visibility for cuts, opacity for fades, or individual color channels. Blend modes stay manual.
Shape the transition
Select a keyframe diamond in the timeline to open its inspector. Hold creates hard cuts; Linear moves at a constant speed. Choose a Bézier method to shape acceleration; Custom Bézier exposes the curve controls and can overshoot.
Edit timing
Select a diamond in the timeline and edit its Time and Value in the inspector, or drag it along the track. Select an animation region to edit its span and settings. Use copy and paste to reuse a timing pattern, then play across the edited section.
Remove animation
Delete selected keyframes or regions. Deleting a track’s final keyframe leaves the current layer value.
