AI Video

Generate a video clip from a prompt and place the result into the stack with video-layer timing controls.

Add AI Video

Open a project or create a blank one. This layer can create its own visible content. Choose GenAI → Media → AI Video in the effects picker, or search for AI Video with Cmd/Ctrl + F. Select the new layer in Layers to open its Effect Panel.

Set up the clip

Sign in and enable AI in Settings → Generative AI. Enter Prompt and choose the video model, duration, aspect and resolution available for that model. Review the quoted credit cost.

Generate and time it

Click Generate. After the clip is ready, switch to Video, set Trim Start, Trim End and Timeline Offset, then press Play. Use Loop or Source Position when the clip needs a different playback relationship to the timeline.

Compare and finish

Toggle the layer eye to compare with the incoming composition. Use the Effect Panel footer for opacity and blend mode, or add a mask to limit the affected area. In Video or Live, use the function menu on a supported control to add keyframes or a driver.
