Choose a tool
Choose Magic Wand for similar colours, Lasso for freehand outlines, Polygonal for straight edges, Magnetic for edge-following outlines, or Smart Mask for model-assisted subject isolation. Select the resulting layer before interacting on the canvas.

Use it in the app
Open a project and find Select & Mask → Select in the effects picker. Choose the specific tool, then select its layer in Layers to open the Effect Panel. Related modes may share a mode dropdown at the top of that panel. The pages below explain source requirements, first adjustments and conditional controls for each tool.
