Detail & Edges
Sharpen, detect, emboss, trace, or redraw edges so structure becomes more graphic and readable.
Choose a tool
Use Sharpen to retain the image while emphasizing detail. Sobel, Prewitt, Laplace and Edge Detection produce edge structure; Emboss shades it. Wireframe adds controllable line work and Triangulation rebuilds the image as facets.
In this section
Sharpen
Use unsharp masking to increase local contrast and recover crisp edge detail.
Sobel
Detect source edges with a Sobel operator for bold contour maps and masks.
Prewitt
Trace horizontal and vertical changes in brightness into fine edge outlines.
Laplace
Pick out fine edges and rapid changes in brightness for outlines, halos, and detail masks.
Edge Detection
Convert local contrast changes into edge-only structure for tracing and downstream masks.
Emboss
Shade edges as raised relief so the image reads like pressed or engraved material.
Wireframe
Render detected image structure as line work over a source, solid, or transparent background.
Triangulation
Rebuild the image from coloured triangles for a low-poly look, with adjustable points and edges.
