Texture & Pattern
Procedural patterns, print textures, pixel treatments, paint looks, and digital grids for building tactile surface character.
Choose a tool
Start with Generative for synthetic sources. Use Dither, Print, Pixel, Paint or Digital to reinterpret an image, and Mosaic & Tile for repeated or partitioned layouts. Choose a pattern scale that remains readable at the final output size.
In this section
Generative
Create synthetic source imagery from mathematical noise, fields, gradients, checkerboards, and expressions.
Dither
Quantize colour with ordered, random, procedural, or diffusion patterns for print and retro-pixel texture.
Recreate halftone, risograph, stipple, and cross-hatching print marks from source tone.
Pixel
Turn source detail into chunkier pixel-art, mosaic, low-bit, and block-sampled treatments.
Paint
Stylize source pixels as oil paint, toon bands, watercolor wash, airbrush tone, or ink bleed.
Sparkle
Add star-shaped glints to bright regions for jewellery, wet highlights, glitter, and specular accents.
Digital
Translate source pixels into ASCII, data masks, and symbol grids for screen-like graphic structure.
Mosaic & Tile
Break the image into tiles, mirrored fragments, kaleidoscopes, or mosaic cells.
