FFT EQ

Boost, cut, or scramble spatial frequency bands as if the image had bass, mids, and treble.

Add FFT EQ

Open an image or build the source composition first. Put this effect after the content it should process in stack processing order. Choose Glitch → FFT EQ in the effects picker, or search for FFT EQ with Cmd/Ctrl + F. Select the new layer in Layers to open its Effect Panel.

Choose a frequency curve

Start with Preset, or set Band Count and edit Band Gains. Low frequencies describe broad structure; higher bands describe fine detail.

Shape the result

Use Gain for the overall strength and Falloff for band transitions. Low Band and High Band bound the affected range. Add Scramble and Seed for a disrupted spectrum after the basic equalization is readable.

Compare and finish

Toggle the layer eye to compare with the incoming composition. Use the Effect Panel footer for opacity and blend mode, or add a mask to limit the affected area. In Video or Live, use the function menu on a supported control to add keyframes or a driver.
