Overview
madphase is a media compositor for images and video. Combine layers and effects, animate controls, and export stills or video.
Start with media
Choose File → New from media for an image or video. On the Welcome screen, choose New project for a blank canvas or open an Example project. With a project open, the canvas shows the composition and Layers shows the source.
Compose the stack
Choose a tool from the effects picker or press Cmd/Ctrl + F and search by name. Select its layer to edit the Effect Panel. Effects process the image in stack order; the default display runs from bottom to top. Toggle a layer eye to compare its contribution.
Animate and export
Choose Still for one image, Video for a timeline, or Live for live inputs. To make a first animation, choose Video and use a numeric control’s function button to add keyframes. Save the editable project with File → Save. Use File → Export Still Image or File → Export Animation for the finished output.
