Particle
Deterministic GPU particle renderers for scattering pixels, field-driven grains, cymatic sand, stipple maps, and emitters.
Choose a tool
Choose Scatter to break up source pixels, Field for preset-driven grains, Cymatic Sand for standing-wave patterns, Stipple Fields for flowing dots, or Emitters for rain, sparks and other particle systems. Set density and size before drive and motion.
In this section
Scatter
Scatter the image into coloured particles that can explode outward and reassemble.
Field
Drive grains through field presets such as sand, quantum, flow, embers, dust, magnetic filings, and Faraday liquid.
Cymatic Sand
Arrange sand-like particles into standing-wave patterns that shift with frequency and audio controls.
Stipple Fields
Arrange dots along flowing fields shaped by patterns or image brightness, with colour responding to speed.
Emitters
Generate rain, snow, ash, pollen, confetti, bubbles, comets, ribbons, sparks, and orbiting particles.
Use it in the app
Open a project and find Particle in the effects picker. Choose the specific tool, then select its layer in Layers to open the Effect Panel. Related modes may share a mode dropdown at the top of that panel. The pages below explain source requirements, first adjustments and conditional controls for each tool.
