Outpaint
Expand the canvas on selected sides and use AI to fill the new space from the existing image context.
Add Outpaint
Open an image or build the source composition first. Put this effect after the content it should process in stack processing order. Choose GenAI → Outpaint in the effects picker, or search for Outpaint with Cmd/Ctrl + F. Select the new layer in Layers to open its Effect Panel.
Choose the expansion
Place AI Outpaint after the image to extend. Choose Output and set Top, Bottom, Left and Right. Add a prompt for the new surroundings, choose a model and review the quoted cost.
Generate the extension
Click Generate. Image output keeps the generated pixels as movable media with Transform controls. Canvas output expands the composition area. Inspect the joins before adding finishing effects.
Compare and finish
Toggle the layer eye to compare with the incoming composition. Use the Effect Panel footer for opacity and blend mode, or add a mask to limit the affected area. In Video or Live, use the function menu on a supported control to add keyframes or a driver.
