Use a camera, capture card, screen, or window as a live media layer.
In: Workspace
Add the source
Choose Primitive → Media → Live Video. Select Camera / capture card, Screen, or Window, then refresh and choose a source.
Start capture
Choose the size and frame-rate cap, then start capture. Approve camera or screen-recording access when your operating system asks.
Compose the input
Move, scale, rotate, mask, and blend it like other media. Live sources have no clip seek, trim, or loop controls.
Stop capture
Use Stop capture. Disabling or removing the layer also stops it; use Start capture to resume. Up to four sources can be active.
Save and reopen
Projects keep the source settings. Capture starts only when you explicitly start it again.
Export a moment
Export a still from the current captured frame. Live capture is not replayable footage for a timeline export; use an imported video for repeatable animation.
