In: Animation
Create a track
In Video mode, move the playhead and click a control’s function button to save its value.
Build motion
Move later in time, right-click the control’s function button, and choose Add keyframe at playhead. Select the new diamond to edit its value. Animated controls show the current playhead value.
Animate layer controls
Keyframe visibility for cuts, opacity for fades, or blend mode for changes in compositing.
Shape the transition
Hold creates hard cuts; Linear moves at a constant speed. Bézier easing changes acceleration and can overshoot.
Edit timing
Select a keyframe or region in the timeline to edit it. Move or copy keyframes to reuse timing.
Remove animation
Delete selected keyframes or regions. Deleting a track’s final keyframe leaves the current layer value.
Shortcut: Delete / Backspace
